ON CONSTRAINTS OF THE BRAKING FORCE DISTRIBUTION COEFFICIENTS OF A TRACTOR- SEMITRAILER

In the case of the tractor-semi-trailer combination, we establish the constraints of the braking force distribution coefficients that are derived from the present-day braking regulations with regard to the sequence of reaching the axle adhesion limit and the location of the adherence utilization curves. This paper discusses the determination way of the analytical expressions of these constraints that can be used to solve optimization problems. As a preliminary, the paper investigates the ideal distribution of the tangential braking reactions.
