Whether Congress passes another short-term bill or a much needed long-term solution, many funding options are being proposed that could have a detrimental impact on us. Although everyone agrees on the need for a long-term bill, few agree on how it should be funded. Today, revenues from the excise tax on tires provide less than 2% of the Highway Trust Fund receipts, and this could increase drastically! With so many proposals on the table, TIA is sticking firm with two positions.
