Gone are the days of large expensive trips to the Top End or the Kimberley in search of Barra. Catching a silver beauty has never been easier writes Joe Watson. Tenjoy a good fishing holiday as much as the next guy, but for most of us, the thousands of kilometres travailed over sometimes shocking roads to far north Queensland, Western Australia or the Northern Territory in search of big Barra is just a little too daunting. The good news is that metre plus barra can be caught in numerous impoundmentsstarting a few short hours from Brisbane in southern and central Queensland without so much as venturing off the sealed roads.
