Honda has finally got the message and added a diesel variant to its popular Honda CR-V wagon. And it's a decent-sized donk at that with a powerful 2.2-litre turbo under the bonnet, which delivers 110kW of power and 350kW of torque. The latter means it's particularly good for towing and in manual transmission gets a maximum 2,000kg tow rating on braked trailers. However, the automatic version that most people will buy is still rated the same as the 2.4-litre petrol - 1500kg maximum load for a braked trailer. The unbraked trailer capacity is 600kg for all models.
