FISHING IS A GREAT WAY TO LEARN THE TRUTHS OF LIFE, BUT TRUTH SHOULDN'T GET IN THE WAY OF A GOOD FISHIN' YARN. When you tell a fishing yarn, you're following a time-honoured tradition amongst those that went before you with a rod and reel to catch a fish. Some of the fondest memories I've had in life were as a youngster hearing stories by Dad as we sat around the camp fire cooking jaffles.It was during these sessions that Dad often relentlessly drummed into our receptive ears stories of his past fishing exploits and conquests, all the while sipping his prized tawny port.
