摘要

The analytical methods of classicalhydrodynamics are used to derive the dispersion equation forcapillary waves induced by fluctuations of the interface betweentwo immiscible viscous liquids. Numerical analysis shows thatthere exists a geometrical locus of points for nondimensionalphysical parameters characterizing the conductivity ratio of theimmiscible liquids and the viscosity of one of them for the casein which fluctuational instability of the charged interface isgenerated. This occurs at an external electrostatic field strengthexceeding the critical level for appearance of aperiodicinstability of the Tonks-Frenkel type.
