We obtain the experimental data relating to the energetic, electrotechnical, and temporal characteristics and the mechanism of the process of EHI [electrohydroimpulse] removal of the strong deposits of thickness 4-8 mm from the 56 X 3 and 76 x 3 mm steel tubes. We examine the granulometric composition of the fractured deposits, and identify with the aid of sequential visual schematized pictures of the fracturing process its characteristic features that influence the selection of the tube cleaning regimes and procedures.
