摘要

Research was conducted on the microstructure,composition, and properties of a ceramic coating deposited on thesurface of an aluminium matrix composite (10Al2O3f-ZL109)using microarc oxidation. The influence of different matrixes andreinforcements on the microstructure, properties, and depositionparameters of the ceramic coatings was studied. Both factorsshowed considerable effects, though the matrix composition hadmore influence. The results also showed that mullite ceramiccoatings can be successfully deposited on the surfaces ofaluminium matrix composites. The coating was composed of twolayers, a porous layer and a dense layer.
