The National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA/FSCT) has changed its name to the American Coatings Association (ACA). The change marks the culmination of the merger between the National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA) and the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology (FSCT), which was finalised in 2009. The NPCA/FSCT Board of Directors approved the identity change in October 2009.
