Safe Work Australia nanotechnology symposium

Worldwide revenues from products incorporating nanotechnology are projected to reach US$3 trillion by 2015. To examine the current situation in Australia, Safe Work Australia held a Symposium on Nanotechnology at Parliament House, Canberra, on 9-10 September 2010. The key themes for the two-day Symposium were: potential hazards associated with engineered nanomaterials, workplace controls, carbon nanotubes, work health and safety measurement and future regulation of nanomaterials.
