The July Technical meeting was fortunate to have the SCAA President, Ken Lofhelm of Commonwealth Scientific Industrial and Research Organisation, (CSIRO), deliver "An insight into the CSIRO". Ken was introduced by Rebecca who noted that Ken had a long involvement with the coatings industry, having worked for Dulux, Bristol, and other paint companies, before arriving at the CSIRO. Ken commenced by noting that CSIRO was a diverse organisation with some 6,500 employees globally divided into two Divisions, Flagship and Divisions. Ken stated that it was not possible to cover the organisation in detail in the available time, so he intended to outline current and past research-based case studies, in order to give the audience an overview.
