SkillsTech hosts painting industry expo

SkillsTech Australia, Queensland's largest trade and technician training TAFE institute, received donations and plaudits from industry after hosting last month's training expo in paint technologies and equipment.SkillsTech Australia Business Manager, Colin Marshall, said more than 300 painting contractors and apprentices were given expert, firsthand training sessions and hands-on demonstrations from industry experts, Dulux and Graco, at the expo."Industry representatives, including 3M, visited our facility and witnessed the quality of training we do here; andfor our apprentices and teachers that exposure is priceless," Mr Marshall said."Following the two-day expo, Dulux and Graco donated approximately $40,000 worth of spray apparatus and materials, which will ensure that our training continues to feature the latest industry standards in equipment and resources.
