In May, the Victorian Section Committee meeting was held at the Railway Hotel, West Melbourne, for the last time, the hotel having now been sold. Rex Gordon, Past Chairman and long serving ex Committee member, and owner of the Railway Hotel, has welcomed the Committee to his hotel, in person, for a great number of meetings over the past 8 years. Additionally Rex has held a large number of Past Chairmen's dinners in his dining room, and offered exceptional support with outstanding value and his personal touch in the choice of menu and wines. So it was with some sadness that Rebecca Lee presented Rex with an engraved tribute from the current and past Victorian Committees in recognition of his generous and highly valued support. Rex responded in his typically entertaining manner, thanking the Committee and recalling some of the highlights from the long association over the years. The Victorian Committee wishes Rex all the best and good luck in his future endeavours.
