Shareholders of Lyondell Chemical Company have approved the creation of a new series common stock.Lyondell will use the cash to purchase Occidental's 26.5% interest in Equistar Chemicals,LP brigning Lyondell's interest in Equistar to 70.5%.Millennium Chemicals Inc.continues to own the remaining 26.5% interest in Equistar.
