John Deeres are a way of life in the USA and have been the number one tractor for many decades as people turned from red to green. It's the same in preservation, particularly with the two-blinder (pre-960) models, for which parts available from JD dealers and many repro makers all over the USA. The New Generation (post-1960) multi-cylinder tractors do not have quite the same appeal as, in many cases, these are still working. But that is changing slowly and more post-1960 JD tractors are now being restored.
