The United Kingdom's largest show, the 37th Great Dorset Steam Fair, Aug 31-Sept 4 continues to have wonderful tractor and plant sections, owing to the considerable work of section leaders Stuart and Beverly Cotton and Gerald and Serena Mundy. Martin Oliver and the team enjoyed wonderful sunshine over the five days of the show at the 600 acre site, at Tarrant Hinton, The main focus of the tractor parade was once again George McAleer's Ferguson re-build. However, 2005 had a twist. Each day, at 12.15pm, George's 1947, TEA was rebuilt by what is believed to be the first all-lady group, starring the Cottons, Battelles and Joyce Symington. With help on the heavy components from George and 'Dave the Mechanic', Friday's time was an impressive 35 minutes!
