Chris Jaworski explains how to convert one system to the other. A dynamo charging system is designed to power the electrical loads fitted to a tractor as part of the original equipment, but if a cab is retro-fitted and includes lights, heater fan and wiper motor, the electrical demand will outstrip the output of a dynamo (approximately 25 -30 amps). If the tractor is used infrequently, or at low engine speed - for example to operate a log splitter - again, the battery may not fully charge.
