摘要

We accept the hypothesis that damage accumulation and osteocytes’ canaliculi disruption stimulates remodeling. This is also the case for fracture healing. However, the work by Deligianni and Apostolopoulos (2008) deals with the case of daily activities, where low and non-damaging macroscopic strains are being developed. Thus, referring to the hypothesis of damage triggered remodeling is a topic which was outside the scope of the paper.
