摘要

The present investigation is an attempt to use in-situ co-precipitation reaction for development of a new electroless composite coating system. Optimum bath composition and coating conditions have been determined. An empirical model for coating weight in Ni-P-X coating at the specified bath composition has been evolved. The model developed provides the coating weight that can be calculated by knowing the bath loading factor and coating time in the composite coating in the range of 32.5-112.5 cm~2/l. The non-isothermal crystallisation kinetics for Ni-P alloy and Ni-P-X composite coatings have also been studied, using DSC for different heating rates.
