COMPUTER AIDED INDEXING OF LAUE BACK REFLECTION PATTERNS OF BODY CENTERED TETRAGONAL CRYSTALS

A computer program in FORTRAN 77 has been developed for indexing Laue back reflection patterns of body centered tetragonal crystals. The program indexes the spots of the Laue pattern and their zone axes. The computer code developed was used for indexing LBR pattern of directionally solidified tin-bismuth alloy. The crystallographic orientation of the primary dendrite has been determined. The primary growth direction was found to have an angular difference of 27 deg from the [110] direction.
