摘要

To verify the thermal design and ensure successful operational use, space vehicles are subjected to extensive ground thermal testing. Test temperatures are monitored through readouts from thermocouples placed in regions where the temperatures are representative of the thermal performance and used to make comparisons with predictions. Temperature data are retrieved through connections leading to recorders and monitors external to the vacuum chamber. The number of thermocouples depends on the size of the satellite and also the complexity of the thermal system and sometimes has to be as much as 1000 to make a detailed assessment.
