Forthcoming Reformation in Daqing

In the plan for rejuvenating old industrial bases in Northeast China,Daqing that merged from its oil production is requested to make a quick change of itsindustrial structure already lasting several dozen years.After maintaining a stable crude oil out-put of 50.0 million tons for 27 consecutive years,the output in Daqing Oilfield dropped to 48.4 million tons in 2003 for the first time in history.
