Compared to France and Germany, which have both officially-declared themselves out of recession, the UK Government is proving slow to share the same sentiments, and I believe it is with good reason.Yes, house prices are rising once again (Nationwide reports that house prices increased by 1.6% during August) and construction work is beginning to pick up; but consumer confidence remains relatively low, reports the British Retail Consortium (BRC) - and this is certainly one of the most important keys to the country's economic revival.
