Back in October, I was privileged enough to attend the 14th Tile and Sanitaryware exhibition in Foshan, China, amongst a group of eager Americans and journalists keen to explore - and in the case of specifiersand buyers in attendance potentially exploit - the low manufacturing costs that China has to offer. However, during my time in the country, it became apparent that whilst there is certainly the potential for knowledgeable purchasers to strike up relationships with keen manufacturers, there remains an understandable hesitance to do so. Trading with China still, unfortunately, comes with a number of concerns - such as quality control, long lead times and changing prices - that could put off even the most intrepid of entrepreneurs.
