In August 1999,a number of mining tenements located in the areas of Naracoopa,Sea Elephant and Cowper Point were sold by Australian Titanium Ltd.to a newly created company-Tasmanian Titanium Pty.Ltd.- for Aus 500,000.Also included in the deal was a large stockpile of mine tailings (said to be rich in rutile and zircon) accumulated from previous mining operations.
