Cristal Agrees to Buy Jiangxi Tikon, with 70,000 t.p.a. of Sulfate Pigment Capacity

On 27 October 2014, National Titanium Dioxide Co. Ltd. (NTDC/Cristal Global, headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) declared that it had signed an agreement to acquire the entire business and assets of Jiangxi Tikon Titanium Co. Ltd. (of Fuzhou, China). The purchase transaction will involve a "combination of an asset and equity deal structure." The estimated value of the transaction has not been disclosed. The transaction should be completed by the end of March 2015.
