ORLANDO, Fla—The days of simply telling customers something has morphed into more of a discussion with them, thanks to the growing use of social media by businesses. And there's nothing wrong with shedding the old and embracing the new, according to participants in a panel discussion in Orlando during the recent International Tire Exhibition & Conference (ITEC) for independent tire dealers and auto service operators.
