Bridgestone plans to boost capex spending 25%

TOKYO—Bridgestone Corp. is planning to increase its annual capital investments by 25 percent or more the next five years, to more than $3 billion, to support its goal of becoming the ''absolute and clear leader"— "Dan-Tolsu" in Japanese—globally in its respective tire and non-lire business segments.
