Industry faces regulatory challenges, but Norberg sees greater cooperation

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.-U.S. industry is facing a formidable regulatory environment in 2012, but on that front the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) sees signs of cooperation not found in many years.Tracey Norberg, the RMA's senior vice president and corporate counsel, presented the association's insights into the current federal and state regu-latory picture for the tire industry and made recommendations on how the industry can shape its own regulatory and legislative future during the 28th annual Clemson University Tire Industry Confer-ence in Hilton Head Island.
