Bill Allen doesn't sound too much like a Yankee after you' ve gotten to know him. Even though he grew up in Indiana and spent part of his young adult life in New York, he discovered logging through a unique set of circumstances. And once the logging bug bit hard, he zeroed in on the South and its harvest production methods as his guide. Operating as Allen Logging, Allen and his four-man crew stand out from the local competition with well-cared for machines, clean yards and landings and a work ethic that sets a good example.
