摘要

There is a wide range in rates of thrombosis in patients on chemotherapy reported in the literature. This is likely as a result of study design and case selection. The interest in primary prevention of venous thromboembolism in patients on chemotherapy has been rekindled by the association between antiangiogenic agents and thrombosis. A number of questions should be considered when arguing for (or against) primary thromboprophylaxis.
