It was known that Sino Steel Group of China has taken over Shanghai Shenjia Ferro-Alloy Works, which is one of major producers of ferro-alloys in China, and placed this producer under their control. Sino Steel Group is a trading firm, based on former Metallurgical Industry Corporation located its headquarters in Beijing, and also one of major shareholders of ASA Metals in South Africa, which has the capacity to produce 132,000 tons per annum of charge chrome.
