Winning shandong LNG project,SINOPEC disturbs CNOOC'S strategic layout

On April 30,CNOOC,BP and Guangdong Provincial Government signed 15 contracts on Guangdong liquefied natural gas (LNG) project,as the first of its kind in China.One week later,the central goverment approved the registration of Shandong LNG project,an cooperation between Sinopec and Shandong Provincial Government,which as the experts pointed out,not only ends the monopoly of CNOOC in LNG market but also disturbs CNOOC's strategic layout of occupying the coastal regions.
