With all the three ocean carriers' FY2003 operational results having been released, we hereby present a brief comparison between the segment-wise operational results of each company, characterized as outlined below: ith its business activities widespread over diversified areas, NYK's profit-making operations are characterized, in short, as an all-round player. The Shipping Segment comprising three areas: liner trade, trampers and specialized carriers, and tanker business, reached 879.8 billion yen, accounting for 60-odd percent of the total sale revenue.
