China's Exports Of Silicon Carbides Are In Direction To Increase For Steep Rise Of Its Price

According to the customs-statistics released in China, this country exported 249,751 tons of silicon carbides in the calender year ( January - December ) of 2003. In view of the fact that EC imposes a high antidumping duty of 52 percent on imports of Chinese silicon carbides into the EU countries, the Government of China has set up the quota of 230,000 tons per annum to control exports of Chinese silicon carbides but the actual quantity of silicon carbides exported from China in 2003 had exceeded by 7.2 percent compared with the export quota as mentioned above.
