The Central Government of China has enforced from January of 2008 to raise again the duty on exports of ferrosilicon and aimed to put the brake on exports of ferro-silicon, which is one of the industries to consume large volumes of electric power for its production. It is now examined whether this countermeasure is effective to reduce the exports or not.
