Nikopol Ferro-Alloy Works Produces 1,100,000 Tons Of Si-Mn In This Year

Nikopol Ferro-Alloy Works, a leading producer of ferro-alloys in Ukraine, is scheduled to produce 1,100,000 tons of manganese ferro-alloys, consisting mainly of silico-manganese, in this year of 2004. The quantity of silico-manganese shares 75 percent of the whole production. For a reference, Nikopol Ferro-Alloy Works produced 800,000 tons of manganese ferro-alloys in the preceding year of 2003. Generally, this company has held the capacity to produce 1,200,000 tons of manganese ferro-alloys, mainly silico-manganese, for a year but their actual production of manganese ferro-alloys was lower than this capacity for a long period. However, the quantity of manganese ferro-alloys planned to be produced in 2004 will come to a nearer level to the capacity as mentioned above.
