China Exported 100,000 Tons Of Ferro-Silicon In March 2006

According to the customs-statistics released in China, the exports of ferro-silicon (with Si 55 percent min.) from China in January - March of 2006 as well as in a single month of March were as per the table shown below. Namely, China exported 105,483 tons of ferro-silicon in March of 2006, which had a considerable increase of 31.2 percent compared with that (80,250 tons) in the previous month - February. China had Lunar New Year holidays in February, resulting in a decline of the exports, and exported a substantial quantity of ferro-silicon in March as a reaction to this seasonal factor.
