Containerboard industry Shake-Up Spurs Questions

This year may become the mother of all years for containerboard and corrugated industry consolidation. We think that both the RockTenn (RT)/Smurfit-Stone (SSCC) and the International Paper (IP)/Temple-Inland (TI) initiatives will be constructive for the industry, long term. In time, RT and IP should get SSCC and TI, respectively, cultrually aligned with their go-to-market strategies. 'But that is a slow process, involving long-standing relationships practices, and contracts that will need to be unwound.
