Heat on OCC Prices Continues

With the exception of the West Coast, where OCC demand is in balance with supply, most mills in all other regions find themselves scrambling for tons and causing prices to increase another $30 per ton. There has to be some bitterness building among board mills. Two major integrateds in the South find themselves in worse shape than their peers. They're making those extra phone calls and reaching out into the Northeast and the Midwest, paying what one supplier called absurd numbers ($150 per ton FOB and higher has been reported by numerous sources).
