An appeal filed by three environmental groups against Longview Fibre Paper and Packaging's biomass expansion project in Longview, Wash., will be heard next May, The Daily News reports. No Biomass Burn of Seatde, the World Temperate Rainforest Network, and the Olympic Environmental Council submitted the appeal in July. The groups say Longview Fibre (LF) should be required to carry out a more detailed study of the project's environmental impact.
