Strine Adds Fifth Large Format Press

Strine Printing, York, Pa., adds its fifth Manroland large format press. The fifth large format press for Strine, a Roland 906XXL size 7B (64-in.) high-speed offset press with coater, will be installed in early 2011.Last year marked the 10th anniversary of Strine Printing Co.'s York, Pa., packaging plant. The facility helped usher in a new era of growth, which began in 2003 with the decision to purchase the firm's first large press, a 5 5-in. 6-color Roland 900 XXL. The goal was to move beyond the saturated 40-in. market to deliver a wider range of folding carton, point-of-purchase, and packaging work.
