Box Shipments Jump

September's industry shipments of corrugated products rose 4.6 percent on both an actual and an average week basis, the Fibre Box Association (FBA), Chicago, stated. Both Sept. 2010 and Sept. 2009 had 21 snipping days. Year to date, actual shipments rose 3.6 percent to 269,248,000 sq ft while average week shipments year to date increased 3.1 percent because the first nine months of this year had one more shipping day than the same period in 2009.
