In a regulatory filing on April 21, Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. (SSCC) said it entered into a $650 million asset-backed loan facility to help finance operations after it exits bankruptcy, Reuters reports.The loan includes a $550 million U.S. facility and a $100 million Canadian facility, according to court documents. The lead arrangers on the loan facility were units of Deutsche Bank AG, JPMorgan Chase & Co., General Electric Capital Corp., Bank of America, and Wells Fargo Capital Financing.
