SSCC Ruling Could Come Soon

Last week closing arguments were held in the confirmation hearing for approval of the reorganization of Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. (SSCC), Chicago and St. Louis. The confirmation hearing began April 15. This week the parties will file post-trail briefs, with reply papers coming in on May 18, according to Kevin Starke of Stamford, Conn.-based CRT Capital Group, LLC, who monitored the hearing.
