Smurfit-Stone Container Corp.'s (SSCC) President and COO Steven Klinger will resign, effective Dec. 31. He will also resign from the Chicago and Creve Coeur, Mo.-based company's board of directors. At press time an SSCC spokesperson had not returned a call for comment. SSCC's board of directors said in August it had launched a search for a ceo successor to Patrick Moore, who has announced his intent to retire.
