Weyco Board Mill Temporarily Closes

On June 12, Weyerhaeuser Co.'s 1.02 million tons per year recycled containerboard mill in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, shut down due to the flooding emergency along the Cedar River. The mill, which is being sold to International Paper (IP), escaped damage. But the Weyerhaeuser box plant next to it is flooded and inaccessible. The area utilities are still either not functioning or are crippled and running at a reduced rate.
