Total Containerboard Inventories Fall

Total containerboard inventories (combining mills and box plants) fell 3.8 percent to 2,236,000 tons between the end of August and the end of September, reports the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA). Breaking this figure down, containerboard mill inventories tumbled 4.7 percent during this time period (to 314,500 tons) while containerboard inventories at box plants sank 3.6 percent to 1,921,500 tons.
