The overall economic and financial crisis hasn't spared the international recycling industry, reports the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR). It states that some buyers are "completely ignoring the terms of the contracts they signed some weeks ago with their sellers." Some of these same buyers aren't paying their invoices or requesting substantial discounts, although they are legally bound by the prices fixed in their contracts.
