OSHA Cites IP for Safety Violations

International Paper (IP), Memphis Tenn., has been cited by the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for workplace safety violations at its kraft linerboard mill in Vicksburg, Miss. This follows its investigation into the May 3 explosion of a recovery boiler that killed one man and injured several other employees. OSHA is proposing IP pay $77,000 in penalties.
